INDIE ARTIST WITH INDY ROOTS

Hey. Thanks for checking out my billboard.

I’m a songwriter, singer, and instrumentalist from Indy, but you already knew that.

One thing you might not know is that I originally picked up guitar in high school to impress girls at...my church youth group. Or that I spent my twenties selling software products for various tech startups while I half-assed making music on the side. Or, on a darker note, that I’ve invested a good chunk of life dwelling on false narratives about myself and the world around me (I occasionally still do).

But I’ve also benefited from the good stuff. You know, those honest moments in life that are so damn real that no one needs to convince you they contain a certain beauty about the world.

Music has always played that role in my life, from the epic nature of The War on Drugs and The Killers to the playful spirit of Bleachers and Jungle to the brutal songwriting of Glen Hansard and Brandi Carlisle.

For me, creating music is all about exploring the corners of my own mind and experimenting with whatever I find in there. Observations, stories, and experiences I want to remember when I need to hear them later in life. Maybe you’ll find something in there for you, too.

Collaborations include Fabricating Thread (with Caleb Schoberg), A Horse With Blinders (Logan Hendrickson, Jonathan Class, Alex Dobbert), and Almanac, his upcoming 2021 album (Caleb Schoberg and Jeremy Mang). Creating alone is nothing compared to creating with friends.
